Press Law

The Press Law deals with the admissibility of the publication of statements and images. It applies to print media, radio and television as well as the Internet. The press law is relevant on the one hand for all those active in the media field, such as journalists, publishers, editors, on the other hand it is of great importance to all concerned, whether individuals or companies, when after a publication of false, reputation-damaging or honour-violating allegations, claims of counterstatement, omission, revocation, damages or damages for pain and suffering should be asserted. Here lies the main focus of our press legal activities.

Through the Internet, the press law has in recent years undergone a boom. Because the easier it is to publish, the more use is made of this option. There is often little awareness of the problem regarding public statements and their consequences, especially as the boundary of acceptability can only be tediously determined owing to the extensive casuistry of the courts.

Several publishers, and also people affected by press releases are being adviced and represented by our firm in legal matters concerning the press.
